Little Cream Soda

Well, well, well.

I let modesty get in the way of success. Planning on going to school for cosmetology in April;  If that day ever comes, as it seems like a century away here in March while I'm working for the man.  Modesty will go out the window.

Fair warning.

6 days later...

So, I don't have much to say. I had a half-day from work today so I came home and cleaned my car for the first time since I got it and now I'm just waiting for the boyfriend to get home so we can eat lasagna and watch last night's episode of It's Always Sunny.

Life is good.  not great. but good.  I don't know what to do to make it great.  Well, I don't know what's worse...knowing what it will take to make it great and not having the motivation to change my direction so I can take it there...or genuinely not knowing what to do.

I want to just go to cosmetology school and become a makeup artist and start a nonprofit where I do makeup for teenagers who want to go to prom or something lame because dumb stuff like that matters to a girl.  I want to go back to school and become a nutritionist so I can find out what the hell really is going on with our food. I want to join a political career so that I can give hope and genuinely mean it.  I want to go back to school and master sign language and become a speech therapist.

What to do...I keep telling myself I'll keep this job so I can save, but when I don't see my bank account balance ever rising about $100 savings I just want to quit and work at a restaurant and go back to school.  People all over the world brought themselves to their dreams by working at restaurants.

What to do...

Here is this incredibly awesome video I found that led me on this less than one year later post:

Tired of Waiting for The Kinks

The Kinks are awesome.

I couldn't think of a better post name.

So what? It's been about a year?  Wow! Look at me, with a job and shit, aren't you proud blogosphere?  Anyway, in other news, I'm not.  I have some lame job in the healthcare field where I charge people way too much to do treatment that they need.  It's fucking lame.  I hate insurance companies.  Also, I'd rather work in a restaurant, but unfortunately, I'm reading Eat to Live  which is this  insane book that motivates me to eat fruits and veggies and never look a Carl's Jr. in the face again.

I digress.

I've had two rum and cokes and life is good. I can't save because I live in fucking Orange County and make $12 an hour but who cares?

Well, it's been fun, see you in a year!

Post Grad, this is the Real World

Real World, this is a Post Grad.

Let's conduct an interview:

Real World: Where do you see yourself in five years?

Me: Not dead, maybe. Hopefully in a home I bought and with a job that's secure and that I've had for five years. I want to know how to make really good barbecue pulled pork sandwiches, or, at least have a barbecue. I'll have traveled to at least five countries and made scrap books of each experience. I see myself with a multitude of new skills, like surfing, Quickbook proficiency, and ability to pay my own taxes and manipulate the stock market.

Real World: Seriously?

Me: Oh, well, yeah if everything goes well, you know?

Real World: This is what I see for you in five years: you're still renting but at least you have a job even if you're under-appreciated and without a raise in two years. Probably working for some company you don't morally approve of and go home and write about in a pathetic blog about how things could be different and someday you'll do something you're proud of and show the world what's what. You won't have traveled much or met anyone too meaningful. So, the way I see it. Kind of looks like you now...well but with a job.

Me: I already have a pathetic blog.

Hello blogosphere.  I'm not too talented in any particular area of specialty.  I can only hope to improve creativity through sharing things with you and maybe someday I'll have a job.

Here's the beginning, it's not that epic.
